What is ODS?

ODS is the OpenDocument spreadsheet format, LibreOffice Calc's default: an open ISO standard holding sheets, formulas and styles in a zip of XML. It travels poorly into Excel-centric workplaces, where formulas and formatting can shift on import. Printing a sheet to PDF sidesteps all of that by sending the rendered result instead of the living calculation.
